Beautiful shot! -such photos you can only make with a single lens reflex camera like your Níkon!- I had a Minolta (Dynax 3xi)and still have that camera, but it's not digital. Therefore, I bought a Canon Power Shot A710 and I can saythat this camera is making beautiful photos; although it's not a songle lens reflex camera. The only thing it will n o t make are photos like yours; with the background blurred and your main object in sharp focus...But I should paint, not shoot so many photos;-))
I bought my Nikon two years ago and it has become my best friend.
To take take the close photos I use a tamron macro lense.
Yes, you must keep on painting :-)
I'm not only believing in wonders, I see them...sometimes daily ;-) !!
